Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment Technician to plan, develop, and conduct training on environmental hazards. The role investigates incidents, implements safety protocols, and ensures regulatory compliance across warehouse, plant, and field operations.

Required is a High School diploma or GED with safety or manufacturing experience and a valid driver’s license. Overtime flexibility and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential as is basic IT proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in safety or manufacturing, agriculture or technical environment.
• Valid Driver's License; driving record reviewed for company car eligibility.
• Basic IT knowledge (Internet, Excel, PPT, Word).
• Overtime availability, including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 40–50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Display working knowledge of warehouse, plant and field operations.
• Promote site HSE fundamentals and safety culture.
• Lead site HSE Safety Program and drive engagement with audits and corrective actions.
• Improve site safety through routines and 5S practices.
• Mentor less experienced Safety technicians and coach staff on safety standards.
