Job summary

bioMérieux in West Jordan, UT seeks an experienced HSE Technician II to support, implement, and improve health, safety, and environmental programs across our Salt Lake City site. You will identify hazards, conduct inspections, deliver training, investigate incidents, and drive continuous safety improvements.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in HSE, including 3+ years OSHA-related duties in manufacturing, with strong communication and teamwork to elevate safety culture and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 years of HSE experience, including at least 3 years OSHA-related duties in manufacturing.
• Experience developing, preparing, and delivering training presentations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections and environmental assessments; document findings and corrective actions.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments; mitigate hazards.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response initiatives.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; collect data, perform root cause analysis, document results.
• Collect and summarize injury and incident data for committees and leadership.
• Maintain safety records and documentation per requirements.
• Partner with leaders to identify and implement safety improvements.
