Job summary

PCL Digital Infrastructure, Inc. in Abilene, TX is seeking an HSE Student for a May to August 2027 assignment.

You will support the US Buildings district by helping implement the HSE plan, aid in safety training, and contribute to project safety initiatives on active data center projects. You will gain hands-on experience, engage in mentorship, and build skills in hazard identification, inspections, and incident support within a growing national program.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of OH&S, environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Some knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• A strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist with implementation of the project HSE Plan and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and assist in project-specific HSE training.
• Provide project teams with HSE information and develop action plans.
• Assist with hazard identification tools development and implementation.
• Conduct project HSE inspections and verify corrective actions.
• Support emergency response plan implementation and project security.
• Gather, review and provide input on trade documentation and monitor safety compliance.
• Verify equipment and tool inspections are conducted and documented.
• Notify stakeholders of incidents and support investigations.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships.
