Job summary

The HSE Specialist at Mars Incorporated High Point is responsible for developing and improving the site’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems, in collaboration with the HSE Manager and site leadership. You will champion incident management, hazard recognition, training, and regulatory readiness to strengthen the safety culture and drive accountability.

Responsibilities include translating action plans into practical programs, maintaining audit-ready records, leading root-cause

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or higher in a science-related field.
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to influence across functions.
Experience with HSE information systems, data analysis, and dashboards.
Ability to build relationships with site leadership and multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Assist the HSE Manager in translating the HSE Action Plan into sequenced work plans with owners and milestones.
Maintain audit-ready state by ensuring compliance with company standards and AHJ requirements.
Track actions from audits, inspections, investigations, and observations; verify closure and escalate overdue items.
Develop and sustain site HSE programs, procedures, tools, and records via prioritization.
Lead site environmental compliance activities and coordinate testing, records, and corrective actions.
