Job summary

Southeast Connections LLC is seeking an HSE&Q Professional to lead safety, health, environmental and quality oversight across gas distribution projects. The role emphasizes hazard prediction, risk assessment and compliance with DOT/FMSCA and environmental regulations within a team setting.

The candidate will train crews, conduct job-site safety observations and participate in incident investigations, contributing to a strong safety culture and reliable operations in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in natural gas distribution operations and procedures.
• Understanding of DOT/FMSCA and utility damage prevention requirements.
• Experience in safety-related or technical roles within utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HSE for water, sewer and natural gas distribution system construction and maintenance.
• Observe, coach and train employees in safe work practices and hazard recognition.
• Conduct risk assessments and electrical assessments.
• Participate in pre-job briefings and safety planning.
• Evaluate work practices to identify needed skill improvements.
• Inspect excavations, confined spaces, work zones and related hazards.
• Collaborate with occupational medical professionals to support return-to-work.
• Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses.
