Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Health and Safety - Programs Assistant to support the Corporate HSE Department in the Baton Rouge, LA area. You will help design, develop, and implement environmental, health, and safety databases, policies and programs, communicating clearly with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in HSE compliance, is proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, and can prioritize tasks while documenting and reporting trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with HSE compliance and management systems.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acceptance.
• Comply with company and client safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of Health and Safety databases including analyzing data and reporting on trends.
• Assist with training field safety personnel on the HSE databases.
• Manages and maintains third-party compliance management systems, including ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce.
• Assist in maintaining the HSE training program and associated documentation.
• Acts as a point of contact for updates to Corporate and Site specific HSE policies and procedures.
• Assist with the maintenance of online updates to policies and procedures for adhering to federal, state and local health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Works with the Corporate HSE Department and Information Technology to ensure that electronic innovations remain on target.
