Job summary

Mondelez International Inc. is seeking a hands-on HSE supervisor to drive health, safety, and environmental programs across our manufacturing floor.

You will lead investigations, coordinate program implementation, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams. The role requires experience in safety systems, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting, with an emphasis on preventing incidents and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience as a supervisor in a high-performance manufacturing/warehousing environment.
• Proven problem solving, communication, and coaching skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with Contractor Management, Permit to Work (PTW), Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), LOTO, machine safety, incident investigation, risk assessment, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, or emergency response is preferred but not required.
• SAP experience and proficiency in MS Excel is required.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical education, or additional training in Safety, Environmental, Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in safety, manufacturing, operations, maintenance, sanitation, warehousing, construction, or other industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead the plant to zero accidents and incidents.
• Coordinate and oversee implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes.
• Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances.
• Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities.
• Follow up on non-conformances and develop systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis.
• Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system and drive corrective actions with the HSE team.
• Develop technical guidance to identify and remove physical hazards.

How you will contribute

You will:

• Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
• Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances
• Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
• Follow up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
• Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
• Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards

• Must have completed Environmental Health and Safety training in areas such as OSHA, EPA, DNREC

What You Need to Know About This Position

This is a hands-on HSE position designed to provide additional support where and when the operation needs it most

A significant part of the time will be spent on the manufacturing floor - engaging with employees, observing work, recognising what is being done well, identifying opportunities, verifying controls, and stepping in when something needs to change

This is a highly visible, floor-focused role that works closely with Operations, Maintenance & Reliability, Sanitation, Quality, Engineering, Security, contractors, and the broader HSE team

The coordinator will build relationships with employees and Front-Line Leaders and Supervisors, recognise and reinforce positive safety behaviours, coach when opportunities are identified, and support accountability when safety expectations are not followed

The position will primarily work between 2nd and 3rd shifts, with flexibility based on operational needs, shutdowns, contractor activities, projects, training, and other critical work

Job Specific Requirements

Work Schedule

Ability to work on 2nd and 3rd shift as required

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $77,600 to $106,700; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
