Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years of progressive construction safety experience.
• Minimum 3 years of safety management or supervisory experience.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA construction standards, DHEC/EPA environmental regulations, DOT, and related compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record managing safety programs across multiple active job sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills able to write clear reports and train teams.
• Heavy civil or asphalt construction experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint or similar construction ERP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all employees understand safety responsibilities and are equipped to meet them.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance for the workforce.
• Lead regular HSE audits and incident investigations with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with HR to manage workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Develop safety training for field crews and office staff and track effectiveness.
• Embed safety culture across all levels and build relationships with site leaders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and lead company-wide compliance responses.
• Maintain HSE metrics and report to senior leadership.
