Who You Are

Leads Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives, manages personnel, and coordinates HSE services supporting business activities. Interfaces with regulatory bodies, clients, and subcontractors. Responsible for training, report writing, quality control, and plan development, ensuring compliance with health standards to prevent hazards. Accountable for team performance and results within a related discipline, providing leadership and direction.

This role is based in Chantilly, VA, with travel between Chantilly and Springfield, VA. The position requires onsite presence 100%.

This is a contingent position based on contract award.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement health and safety plans following legal guidelines.
• Establish policies to promote a safety culture.
• Assess practices, procedures, and facilities for risks and compliance.
• Conduct safety training sessions.
• Maintain quality control measures for installations and repairs.
• Ensure effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a safety manager.
• Deep knowledge of legal health and safety regulations.
• Experience in report writing and policy development.
• Proficiency in data analysis and risk assessment.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• At least one recognized certification: CSP, CIH, CEP, or PE.

Additional Experience:

• Minimum 9 years of proven experience as a safety manager.

Clearance: Must have an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Willingness to undergo polygraph testing and upgrade clearance as needed.
