Job summary

TMS International is seeking an on-site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager in Axis, AL. You will lead OSHA compliance, develop safety programs, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across operations.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to implement policies, manage training, and prepare reports for corporate headquarters. The role requires 3–5 years in industrial safety and an associate degree or ABET-listed safety program; MS Office proficiency is

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree or 3 years work experience managing an industrial safety program.
• Bachelor’s in an ABET accredited safety program preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and training.
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Must be a "Team Player" and have strong work ethics.

Responsibilities

• Administers attendance and safety incentives monthly.
• Supports company policies, dress codes, work rules, safety rules, and ethics.
• Supports day-to-day operation of the company-wide EH&S program.
• Monitors and documents compliance with OSHA, Federal, State and local laws.
• Investigates accidents and incidents, prepares detailed reports, and recommends improvements.
• Prepares required reports to corporate headquarters.
• Collaborates with management and employees to promote safety culture.
• Maintains library of safety/environment documentation and revises as needed.
• Documents and monitors prevention training and reporting on accidents.

We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team in Axis, AL.

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures that ensure the health, safety, and environmental standards of our operations. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

HSE Manager Responsibilities

• Administers the attendance and safety incentives for each month.
