Job summary

Bayer (Schweiz) AG seeks an Associate Manager for Health, Safety & Environment to partner with site leaders and drive a high-performing HSE program across North America Crop Science locations.

You will develop capability, lead regional improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance, including permitting and reporting. Travel up to 50% is required; relocation support is available in selected states.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or Safety management or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in Health, Safety & Environment leadership roles (or master's with 6+ years).
• Experience interpreting OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory requirements in manufacturing/chemical/pharma environments.
• Valid U.S. Driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to embed HSE into decisions, daily management, and capital investments.
• Support 10–15 Crop Science locations with practical, risk-based HSE leadership.
• Develop HSE capability through coaching and structured development.
• Lead regional HSE improvement efforts and share best practices.
• Conduct incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are sustained.
• Provide environmental compliance expertise including permitting, waste management, and reporting.
