Job summary

Bayer seeks an Associate Manager for Health, Safety, and Environmental to partner with site leaders across North America Crop Science locations. You will drive a compliant, high-performing HSE culture, supporting operational teams 24/7 and guiding risk management across multiple sites.

The role requires 8+ years in HSE leadership (or a master’s with six years) and strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, with domestic travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or Safety management, or related field.
• Master’s degree with six years of relevant experience (if applicable).
• Demonstrated expertise interpreting OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory requirements.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s license; Bayer provided vehicle.
• Domestic Travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to integrate HSE into decisions and CAPEX.
• Support 10–15 Crop Science locations with practical HSE leadership.
• Develop HSE capability through coaching and development.
• Foster ownership and continuous improvement to manage risk.
• Lead regional HSE improvements by sharing best practices.
