Job summary

Lilly is building an advanced Richmond area manufacturing site and seeks an experienced HSE professional to lead the Health, Safety and Environmental program within GMP startup operations.

The role focuses on developing the Site HSE Management System, driving safety culture, training, audits, and collaboration with manufacturing and technical support to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across all processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, environmental health, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in GMP manufacturing environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not sponsor work visas.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Site HSE Management System.
• Develop and deliver high quality Safety/Health training and communications.
• Lead site audits, self-assessments, and regulatory audits.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and technical support to manage safety aspects of new and established processes.
• Drive safety culture and incident prevention.
