Job summary

Prysmian Group is hiring an HSE Intern in Lincoln, RI. This role focuses on learning health, safety, and environmental practices within a manufacturing setting.

You will assist with inspections, policy development, and safety training while gaining hands-on experience in compliance, risk assessment, and sustainability programs. The internship may lead to full-time opportunities based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Sophomore level or higher to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety training sessions and awareness programs for employees.
• Help track and analyze safety performance metrics (incidents, near misses, audits).
• Assist in investigating accidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other health and safety regulations.
• Support environmental initiatives such as waste management and energy efficiency.
• Maintain and update safety records, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
