Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a dedicated instructor to provide High School Equivalency (HSE) instruction within an adult educational correctional system. You will deliver instruction and assessments, oversee the Cognitive Education Program, and collaborate with staff to promote academic progress for inmate students.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an education-related field is required.
Must possess Colorado Initial/Professional Teacher License or ABE/Colorado Interim Authorization as applicable.
Strong knowledge of teaching strategies and ability to work with incarcerated adults.

Responsibilities

Deliver HSE instruction aligned with CDE curriculum.
Mentor inmate students individually or in groups to support goals.
Maintain records of grades, attendance and training activity.
Ensure safety and security within the facility and follow procedures.
