Job summary

Freudenberg Performance Materials LP (USA) in Asheville, NC, seeks a hands-on Health, Safety and Environment professional to lead risk assessments, ensure ISO 14001/45001 compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture.

You will coordinate training, audits, permits, and contractor safety management while supporting incident investigations and documentation. A Bachelor's degree is preferred; CPR/First Aid credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Health, Safety and Environment roles in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 systems.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; CPR/First Aid/AED credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives with risk assessments, inspections, and improvement projects.
• Support ISO 14001, ISO 45001 compliance and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives by coordinating risk assessments, inspections, and team-driven improvement projects.
• Support and maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant federal, state, and local HSE regulations.
• Facilitate HSE training programs, including new-hire orientation and first aid, and assist with maintaining training records.
• Participate in internal audits, manage HSE documentation and permits, and support contractor safety management.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through daily floor presence, employee engagement, and incident investigation support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in Health, Safety and Environment positions within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience and familiarity with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 systems.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Red Cross or AHA certified CPR/First Aid/AED Trainer with current credentials preferred.
