Job summary

Freudenberg Group, a global technology company, seeks an experienced HSE professional to strengthen safety and environmental compliance on the production floor in Kentucky.

You will lead audits, investigate incidents, train teams, and drive continuous improvement across operations, engineering, maintenance, and quality to keep workers safe and compliant. This role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on floor presence, and data-driven safety performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred (Environmental Health/Safety).
  • 3+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with audits, incident investigations, safety training and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Support and improve HSE programs, policies, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Lead and coordinate safety training, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and help implement preventive solutions.
  • Monitor environmental compliance, including air, wastewater, and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, identifying hazards and promoting safe work practices.
  • Track HSE performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, and leadership to strengthen workplace safety.
