Job summary

iLearn Schools is seeking a High School Head Coach for Wrestling, providing a stipend for the season from November to February 2027. The role reports to the High School Athletic Director and High School Director and requires extensive NJ coaching certifications and compliance with DOE/NJSIAA rules.

The stipend starts at $5,000+ and may rise to $6,250 depending on sport. Evening and weekend hours are expected, with duties spanning travel, scheduling, safety, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification required; hands-on skills assessment, online courses not accepted.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching required prior to first employment.
• Annual NFHS trainings: Concussion in Sports; Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
• One-time NFHS training: BeNice Program.
• DOE credential: NJ Teaching Certification or NJ Instructional Substitute Credential (30 college credits minimum).

Responsibilities

• Travel with the team to away competitions and supervise student-athletes.
• Coordinate practice, game, and tournament schedules for the high school program.
• Ensure compliance with NJSIAA, DOE guidelines, and school policies.
• Verify medical clearance with Athletic Trainer or School Nurse for participating athletes.
• Ensure required certifications for assistant coaches and volunteers are completed.
