Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a CBI and FBI background check.
• Must complete CHSAA 1st Year Coaches Test and safety trainings.
• Needs Concussion Training and Mandatory Reporter Training.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred or required.
• Previous playing or coaching experience in track is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in planning and conducting practices.
• Teach sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.
• Supervise athletes during practices and meets.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.
• Assist with equipment management, meet prep, and team logistics.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all athletes.
• Communicate with Head Coach, athletes, and staff.
• Follow district and league athletic policies.
