Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Pass a CBI and FBI background check
• Complete CHSAA 1st Year Coaches Test, Concussion Training, Mandatory Reporter Training, First Aid/CPR certification
• Previous playing or coaching experience in track preferred
• Ability to work with student-athletes in a positive and constructive way
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Position Summary:

North Park School District is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in developing student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Assistant Coach helps with practices, game preparation, and supervision of athletes while promoting a positive and safe team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices.

• Help teach sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.

• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.

• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.

• Assist with equipment management, game preparation, and team logistics.

Compensation: Stipend based on district salary schedule.

Working Conditions: The majority of the coaching job will take place in a gym. The assistant coach is expected to attend all practices and games. Travel is required.
