Job summary

CAP Services in Stevens Point, WI, is hiring a HS Teacher Assistant at the Family Development Center. The role supports the Classroom Manager in planning and delivering a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 0-5, following Creative Curriculum guidelines.

Starting pay is $17.10 to $18.81 per hour, full-time (37.5 hours weekly), with benefits including PTO, holidays, a 6% 401K match, life, health, dental, vision and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development from a technical college.
• CDA or Registry Level 6 or higher credential required.
• Unofficial transcripts or WI Registry certificate must be provided.

Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, part year

Duties: Responsible for assisting the Classroom Manager in preparing and conducting lesson plans which provide a developmentally ageand stageappropriate curriculum, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices as outlined in the Program’s philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two -yearAssociate Degree in Child Care and Development through a technical college and one year of classroom experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or a Registry Level of 6 or greater and two years of experience which includes working directly with childrenages0-5.

Must provide a copy of unofficial transcripts or certificate from the WI Registry or class.

Must be able to work effectively with multi-cultural children and families.
