Job summary

Fridley Public Schools seeks a Head Robotics Coach to oversee the high school program, including staffing, scheduling competitions and practices, and managing equipment and fundraising. The role emphasizes leadership and collaboration with the activities director and school community.

Qualifications include Minnesota teaching license preferred but not required, and coach or playing experience preferred. This position requires a commitment to student development and program success in a school

Qualifications

  • Minnesota teaching license preferred but not required.
  • Coach and/or playing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and supervise the coaching staff in collaboration with the activities director.
  • Schedule all competitions and practices in collaboration with the activities director.
  • Oversee all equipment orders. Provide a system for successful hand-out and turn-in of all equipment.
  • Manage practice facilities and provide the activities director informative needs and upkeeps throughout the year.
  • Oversee all fundraising activities.
  • Delegate responsibilities to assistant coaches, provide support and feedback, and build staff camaraderie and rapport.
  • Attend all meetings required by the school, conference, MSHSL, and attend meetings, seminars, and clinics to help improve your coaching abilities.
  • Provide leadership to students and community that model characteristics of integrity, honesty, perseverance, caring, humor and passion.
