Job summary

Davenport North High School, part of Davenport Community Schools, is seeking a basketball coach who can teach fundamentals, develop a competitive program, and motivate student-athletes in both the gym and classroom.

The ideal candidate will hold an Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement, have state-level competition experience, and be able to collaborate with athletic boosters to support concessions and events.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement.
• Experience with competition at state level is desired.
• Complete online application with a resume and 3 letters of reference.
• Strong interpersonal skills with cross-cultural rapport building.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach basketball at North High School.
• Motivate student-athletes on court and in classroom.
• Collaborate with athletic boosters for concessions.
• Supervise before, during, and after practices/matches.
• Assist in feeder program development.
