Job summary

CENTRAL LINN SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an AG Teacher and FFA Advisor to lead a growing program in the Willamette Valley. This licensed and certified educator will develop and deliver a robust agriculture education curriculum aligned with district goals.

The role includes advising the FFA, coordinating with staff, parents and the community, maintaining records, planning lessons and substitutes, and ensuring classroom safety and high standards of conduct.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates understanding of content area and adolescent development.
• Plans a program of study meeting the students' needs.
• Uses district-approved curriculum where available.
• Communicates clearly both orally and in writing.
• Uses test data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess student learning and maintain required records.
• Ensure health and safety of students at all times.
• Communicate with students and parents about progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with FFA alumni and community partners to support the program.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers when applicable.
• Attend faculty and in-service meetings and participate in district initiatives.
• Co-responsible for co-curricular activities as needed.
• Supervise students according to school schedule and be punctual.
