Job summary

Vogt Power International Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking a CAD Design Coordinator/Checker (HRSG Services) to perform thorough checking of HRSG assemblies and drawings.

You will develop 3D piping models, create BOMs, and coordinate with the Project Design Lead to ensure accuracy and compliance with ASME codes. The role requires five years CAD design experience and proficiency with AutoDesk tools (AutoCAD, Plant3D, Navisworks, Revit, Inventor), plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with college-level engineering courses or engineering degree.
• Five years CAD design experience (HRSG CAD design preferred).
• Experience with AutoDesk design software (AutoCAD, Plant3D, Navisworks, Revit, Inventor).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and product applications.
• Organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn design standards.
• Able to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review project customer specifications.
• Prepare major assembly, section and detail drawings and BOMs.
• Coordinate with the Project Design Lead on the project.
• Communicate and assist other departments with calculations and datasheets.
• Develop and maintain 3D model of piping and equipment.
• Generate weight calculations for parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Revise drawings and provide thorough checking.
• Create project as-built drawings if required.
• Support shop and field questions; travel to sites as needed.
