About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented HRIS & Payroll Specialist to support HR and payroll operations across our Austin and Taylor locations. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with HR systems, payroll processing, data management, compliance, and employee support. In this dual-function position, you will assist with end-to-end payroll administration while supporting HRIS operations, employee onboarding, and data integrity efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll processing, HR systems administration, auditing, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Support the biweekly payroll process from start to finish.
- Review and audit employee timecards for accuracy.
- Process payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payments.
- Perform payroll calculations and reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Tax & Garnishment Processing
- Process agency notices, tax documents, and payroll-related correspondence.
- Set up and maintain wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
HRIS Administration
- Maintain employee data across Workday and UKG systems.
- Monitor and audit data integrations between Workday and UKG Dimensions/UltiPro.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies affecting payroll and HR operations.
- Assist with system audits, testing, and reporting.
Employee Data & Vendor Onboarding
- Perform high-volume employee data entry and record maintenance.
- Support indirect vendor onboarding activities and documentation tracking.
- Ensure accurate employee and contractor records throughout the onboarding process.
Employee & HR Support
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for payroll and HR-related inquiries.
- Submit, monitor, and resolve support tickets.
- Conduct root cause analysis for payroll and HRIS issues and coordinate resolutions with appropriate teams.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and onboarding processes.
- Assist with updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
- Payroll Processing
- Payroll Tax Administration
- Wage Garnishments
- Payroll Auditing
- Compensation Administration
- Experience with:
- Workday
- UKG Dimensions and/or UKG UltiPro
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Preferred
- Experience supporting high-volume payroll environments.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and employment regulations.
- Strong auditing and reconciliation experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
