Job Summary

The HR Systems Analyst I supports the configuration, optimization, and ongoing performance of HR technology systems to help deliver a positive and reliable team member experience. This role independently handles standard system configuration, reporting, testing, data validation, and issue resolution while supporting more complex enhancements led by senior HR Systems Analysts and Product Managers. The HR Systems Analyst I partners with HR, Technology, and business teams to translate defined needs into effective system solutions and contributes to continuous improvement across the HR technology ecosystem.

Job Description

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. Configure and maintain standard HR technology functionality to support business processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with established requirements. Partner with Product Management to clarify business needs, document requirements, and translate defined requirements into system configurations and enhancements.

Evaluate new or updated system capabilities, including AI-enabled features, by completing assigned research and testing and documenting potential value, risks, and readiness considerations. Support system enhancements, workflows, integrations, and process automation through assigned configuration, testing, validation, documentation, and deployment activities.

Troubleshoot moderately complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, resolve issues within established scope, and escape issues requiring advanced technical expertise. Partner with Product Managers to identify and recommend opportunities to improve system usability, efficiency, and the team member experience.

Support and execute system updates, releases, and upgrades, including impact review, testing, validation, deployment, and post-production support. Create and maintain system documentation, including business processes, configuration details, test scripts, and user procedures.

Support data integrity through audits, validation processes, discrepancy resolution, and ongoing monitoring of system performance. Develop and maintain standard and moderately complex reports and dashboards, validate results, and help stakeholders interpret system data.

Provide functional guidance and escalation support to HRIS Administrators on standard system processes and issues. Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Technology, vendors, and other business teams to support integrated and reliable HR technology solutions. Contribute to HR technology projects, system implementations, optimization efforts, cyclical processes, and continuous improvement priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting HR technology systems or similar platforms. Experience completing standard system configuration, testing, reporting, data validation, and issue resolution. Experience supporting system enhancements, releases, implementations, or cyclical HR processes. Experience with enterprise HR systems such as Workday, learning platforms, ServiceNow, or similar technologies is preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, information systems, analytics, or a related field. OR 2 combined years of equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.

Computer/Office Equipment Skills

Working knowledge of HR system and technology concepts, including system configuration, data structures, business processes, and AI capabilities, along with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Managerial Responsibility

Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities.

Other Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of HR systems, data structures, and business processes. Ability to analyze moderately complex problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions within established standards. Ability to independently manage assigned work while seeking guidance for complex, ambiguous, or high-risk decisions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.

Ability to collaborate across teams and build effective working relationships through clear, professional communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Experience supporting projects, system enhancements, releases, or implementations with moderate complexity. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES / WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Ability to sit, talk and hear consistently.
