Job summary

VSC Fire & Security, Inc. is seeking an HRIS Administrator in Richmond, VA to manage UKG HRIS, payroll and attendance data, and complex reporting. You’ll ensure data integrity, user access control, and seamless system upgrades while supporting HR processes and compliant personnel records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent training and experience.
• Proven experience as an HRIS Administrator or similar role with UKG products (Kronos).
• Strong understanding of HR processes including payroll, time & attendance, benefits administration, and compliance.
• Proficiency in data analytics reporting tools and HR metrics.
• Experience with SQL or other query language (desirable).
• SHRM/PHR or similar certification (desirable).

• Administer and maintain the HRIS system with configuration, data integrity and troubleshooting.
• Develop and generate reports, dashboards and analytics to support HR decisions.
• Serve as primary contact for HR data processing and personnel actions.
• Review HR paperwork for completeness and prepare for processing.
• Enter and update employee job data ensuring payroll deadlines.
• Process personnel data changes accurately and timely.
• Maintain personnel files and handle requests efficiently.
• Train HR staff and end-users on system functionality.
• Ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements.

What You Need

What You Will Do

• Review HR paperwork for completeness and prepare for processing in accordance with company policies.
• Enter and update employee job data in HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with payroll deadlines.
• Process personnel data changes promptly and accurately, aligning with company policies and payroll schedules.
• Assist in the management and maintenance of personnel files and process requests efficiently and timely.
• Demonstrate a strong customer service mindset, proactively addressing user needs and challenges.
• Assist in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new HRIS modules and features.
• Train HR staff and end-users on system functionality and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements regarding employee data.
• Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity within the HRIS system.
• Identify opportunities to automate HR process and improve system workflows.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security within the HRIS platform.
• Support integration efforts between UKG and other business systems (e.g., payroll, timekeeping, etc.).
