Job description

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the role. This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (based on education and/or relevant work experience).

This position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety at 512 N. Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27604.

The primary purpose is to act as a classification technician or specialist reviewing and creating new classifications across the Patrol. Responsibilities include routine classification reviews, writing new job descriptions, creating new positions within Fiori (Beacon), and possibly reallocations, in-range adjustments, or career progressions. The role involves working with management and employment specialists to establish positions using NeoGov and People Admin, providing organizational guidance on staffing, leveling, and classifications.
