Job summary

Civil West, part of the PCL Family of Companies, is seeking a Human Resources Student in Long Beach, California. You will partner with employees, managers and HR professionals to support talent initiatives and build high-performing teams across the district.

Responsibilities include onboarding coordination, training support and maintaining accurate databases, with a focus on customer-focused relationships and process improvement. This is a full-time student opportunity for May–August.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human resources, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Clear communication, organization and interpersonal skills are required.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research and general administrative support.
• Coordinate onboarding, event planning and training preparation.
• Maintain up-to-date databases and reporting as needed.
• Support HR team communications and HRIS system usage.
