Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks an HR Specialist to handle personnel support, record-keeping, and data entry for Soldiers and divisions. You will assist in awards, evaluations, ID cards, leave management, and filing systems, enabling smooth personnel operations.

You will train on basic Soldiering skills, gain experience in human resources processes, and participate in paid training while serving part-time with potential tuition assistance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist on all human resource support matters
• Oversight of all strength management and strength distribution actions
• Responsible for the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers
• Postal and personnel accountability support
• Maintain emergency notification data
