Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an HR Specialist to support Soldiers with benefits, policy guidance, and career development. You will maintain personnel records, assist with awards processes, and help coordinate evaluations and ID card requests.

You'll handle data entry, filing systems, and provide readiness and welfare support across divisions. This role offers paid training and the chance to earn a regular paycheck while serving.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist on all human resource support matters
• Oversight of all strength management and strength distribution actions
• Responsible for the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers
• Postal and personnel accountability support
• Maintain emergency notification data
