Job summary

North Orange County Community College District seeks an experienced Human Resources Specialist to provide confidential HR support across onboarding, records, compensation, and related functions. You will handle sensitive personnel information, ensure compliance, and support labor relations initiatives.

Responsibilities include coordinating onboarding, maintaining HRIS data, and preparing confidential reports for executive leadership, with a focus on accuracy, discretion, and adherence to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business/public administration, organizational development or a related field plus 2 years in HR functions.
• OR an Associate degree plus 4 years of HR experience.
• OR a high school diploma plus 6 years of HR-related experience.
• OR any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Process confidential personnel records, contracts, salary placements and other employment actions with discretion.
• Maintain and update personnel files and HRIS records with confidentiality for negotiations or investigations.
• Prepare confidential reports for executive leadership on employment actions and trends.
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires with discretion and ensure form completion and orientations.
• Review minimum qualifications and assess transcripts, certifications, and employment verifications for proper salary placement.
