Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support Employment Services and substitute hiring processes. You will input data into the district HRIS and payroll systems, maintain applicant tracking, and ensure compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent vocational training in HR, data entry, or related field.
• Three years of data entry experience; experience with HR systems preferred.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support for Employment Services and substitute hiring processes.
• Input data into HRIS and payroll systems; ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain applicant tracking database and post job openings accurately.
• Prepare employment correspondence and reports for district staff.
• Monitor certifications, licensing, and highly qualified requirements.
