Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is seeking an experienced Director of HR Services to provide hands‑on leadership for employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and training functions across the organization.

Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Director of HR Services shares leadership of the HR department with the HR Operations Manager, with the Director leading employee relations, benefits and leave, and the HR Operations Manager leading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience with employee relations.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience with multi-site HR operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Benefits, Employee Relations, and Retail Training teams.
• Oversee compliance for benefits, leave programs, and regulatory matters.
• Partner with HR leadership to standardize practices across locations.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and workforce analytics for leadership.
