Job summary

Target in Los Angeles is seeking an HR professional to support recruiting and talent management across the store network. You will partner with store leaders to anticipate staffing needs, lead focused recruiting efforts, and ensure compliant people programs that enable great guest experiences.

You will coach teams on scheduling, payroll practices, and employee engagement, while upholding safety policies and inclusive talent strategies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding federal, state and local employment laws.
• Using basic Microsoft Office Suite computer and workforce management programs.
• Effectively using scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.
• Greet guests with friendliness, smile, and eye contact at 10 ft and 4 ft.
• Help guests find what they need or resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to hire candidates for store leaders.
• Support team member and leader training needs and advocate continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Deliver on HR processes and programs to maximize engagement.
• Follow company compliance policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely; report hazards and correct where possible.
