Job summary

Lippert is seeking an HR Assistant for a full-time 1st shift role in Goshen, IN. The position supports HR operations, maintains employee records, processes changes, and assists with recruitment activities. Local travel is expected and the role requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Process new-hire, status change and termination paperwork.
  • Handle leave requests and disability paperwork.
  • Participate in recruitment and interview processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
  1. Creating and maintaining of facility spreadsheets
  2. Prepares and maintains employee files
  3. Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files; performs paper and system audits as necessary
  4. Enters data into HRIS system ensuring the accuracy of information
  5. Processes new-hire, status change and termination paperwork
  6. Processes and administers leave of absence requests and disability paperwork
  7. Participates in recruitment and interview processes
  8. Performs other duties as assigned
Competencies
  1. 1 to 2 years of direct experience in HR field
  2. Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives
  3. Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  4. Requires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  5. Flexible, innovative in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time 1st shift position. Schedule is Monday through Friday.

Travel

Local travel is expected for this position.
