Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a strategic HR and Recruiting Manager to lead the recruitment and hiring of remote nurses who provide care management services. This role is ideal for a people-focused professional with a strong background in healthcare recruiting, HR compliance, and managing the full employee lifecycle in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-quality, licensed remote nurses across the U.S.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and strategic partnerships with nursing schools and organizations.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified nursing candidates for current and future roles.

HR Operations

  • Oversee onboarding, credentialing, and background checks to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and secure HR records, including licenses, certifications, and employment eligibility documents.
  • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and workforce planning strategies.
  • Maintaining compliant state and local tax accounts based on employee locations.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure hiring practices comply with federal, state, and industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, EEOC).
  • Stay current on trends and regulations impacting telehealth and remote clinical workforces.
  • Implement tools and systems to support a scalable and compliant HR infrastructure.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with leadership to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for remote nursing candidates and new hires.
  • Promote a positive remote work culture and employee engagement through effective communication and HR support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR and recruitment, with at least 2 years focused on healthcare or clinical staffing.
  • Some level of clinical experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven success recruiting for remote nursing or telehealth roles strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and healthcare compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and remote collaboration tools.
