Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced freelance or contract recruiting specialist with a proven record of recent success in this fast-changing field. Candidates must have significant experience and strong current knowledge within the past 2 years to effectively source, recruit, and hire the right professionals for our opportunities.

We prefer a freelance or contract recruiter with an LLC or 1099 status, available for 20 hours/week. Preference will be given to recruiters with sourcing tools. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional ability to find, vet, and hire top talent to support our fast-growing firm’s culture and needs. They should work with urgency to meet hiring timelines while ensuring new hires align with our brand, culture, and specific roles.

Job Responsibilities:

Align recruiting efforts with the firm’s culture and annual hiring strategy using performance metrics. Maintain and meet monthly recruiting and hiring targets.

  1. Job Advertising: Draft and post compelling job descriptions to attract qualified candidates.
  2. Talent Sourcing: Identify and engage top talent through job boards, professional networks, LinkedIn, social media, networking events, and referrals.
  3. Lead Talent Acquisition: Manage the recruitment process, tailoring hiring funnels for each role to increase accuracy and reduce vacancy times.
  4. Interviews: Conduct initial interviews, assess culture and technical fit using behavioral questions, and coordinate further interview rounds.
  5. Process: Use cognitive and behavioral assessments as part of the candidate evaluation process.
  6. Negotiation and Offer Management: Support offer negotiations and facilitate smooth onboarding. Conduct reference checks as part of due diligence.
  7. Market Intelligence: Develop insights into legal industry hiring trends in Seattle and Washington.
  8. Compliance: Follow HR laws and best practices in sourcing and hiring.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS in business administration, HR, or related field preferred.
  • Proven success in leading hiring initiatives from search through onboarding, especially for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Recent success as a recruiter within the last 2 years.

Certifications through SHRM, HRCI, or recruiting-specific certifications (PRC, CPSP, LinkedIn, etc.) are preferred.
