Recruiter Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for the overall recruiting strategy for the company. This includes sourcing strategies, partnering with schools, diversity initiatives, branding and advertising methods (including social media), and staffing agency partnerships. Additional responsibilities include consulting with hiring managers, resume review and assessment, candidate interviews, and pre-hire processes.

Responsibilities

Recruiter Essential Job Functions

  • Develops, implements, and facilitates all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Identifies and implements efficient, effective, and diverse recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Manages job postings and advertisement methods, using multiple tools including applicant tracking systems (iCIMS) and social media platforms.
  • Sourced candidates, screens resumes, and selects qualified candidates for the next step in the recruitment process.
  • Conducts phone interviews of candidates and submits qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Schedules interviews and assists newer hiring managers on the interview process.
  • Utilizes the applicant tracking system (iCIMS) to extend offers of employment, manage candidate acceptance or counteroffers, and schedule pre-employment testing.
  • Develops relationships with local high schools, technical schools, and universities for career days, career fairs, onsite tours, and classroom visits.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (including KSAs and certifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; HR designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in recruiting both exempt and non-exempt positions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies, including branding and advertising, along with utilizing social media platforms.
  • Ability to build relationships with educational institutions (high schools, technical colleges, universities).
  • Experience monitoring recruiting metrics and taking actions for improvement.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations affecting recruitment efforts.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, preferably iCIMS.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency and continuous process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally as needed.
Desirable Qualifications & Certifications
  • HR Certification.
  • Participation in continuing education, local chapters, associations, or organizations.
  • Experience in medical device recruitment is strongly preferred.

Pay Range

USD $60,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 per year.

Additional Benefits

Employees working 20+ hours have access to a 401(k) with match, onsite clinics, holiday bonuses, and other programs. Employees working 30+ hours are eligible for parental leave, disability benefits, life insurance, and tuition assistance. Benefits are subject to eligibility criteria.
