Job summary

Photon Brothers in Centennial, CO is seeking an HR & People Operations Intern (part-time) to support compliance, employee programs, recruiting, and HR systems. This hands-on role offers real ownership across multi-state operations (CO and CA) and a flexible 15-25 hour work week.

You will assist with OSHA/DORA compliance, HRIS records in Rippling, I-9/E-Verify, benefits enrollment, recruitment coordination, and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology (HR degree preferred).
• Interest in a career in Human Resources.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Sheets.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems (HRIS, tracking tools, documentation platforms).
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
• Strong communication and coordination with external partners.
• Self-starter who can take ownership of projects.
• Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance initiatives, including OSHA training tracking and DORA requirements.
• Maintain license and certification tracker (OSHA, electrical licenses, apprenticeship hours).
• Help maintain employee records in Rippling HRIS.
• Assist with I-9 and E-Verify documentation and records retention.
• Assist in administering employee benefits and enrollment tracking.
• Support open enrollment and carrier enrollment files.
• Coordinate recruiting, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
• Post jobs and manage applicants in Rippling and Indeed.
• Screen applicants, manage resume tracker, and communicate with candidates.
• Support employer branding, job postings, and recruitment materials.
• Assist with bi-annual performance review cycles in Rippling.
• Assist with onboarding coordination and employee communications.

HR & People Operations Intern (Part-Time)

Position Overview:
This position will be based out of our Centennial, CO location.

We are looking for a hands-on HR intern to support our growing team in construction and solar operations. This role offers real ownership across compliance, employee programs, recruiting, and HR systems, and is ideal for someone interested in a career in Human Resources. You will support employees across multiple states (Colorado and California).

This is a part-time, paid internship (15-25 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday.
Job Responsibilities :

• Support compliance initiatives, including OSHA training tracking and DORA-related requirements
• Maintain the license and certification tracker (OSHA, electrical licenses, apprenticeship hours) and follow up on expirations
• Help maintain accurate employee records and documentation in our HR system (Rippling)
• Support I-9 and E-Verify documentation and records retention
• Assist in administering employee benefits (enrollment tracking, employee communication, documentation)
• Support annual open enrollment and carrier enrollment files
• Help coordinate recruiting efforts, including interview scheduling and candidate communication
• Post jobs and manage applicants in Rippling and Indeed, including screening questions, candidate communication, and keeping the resume tracker current
• Support employer branding initiatives (job postings, recruiting materials, improving candidate experience)
• Support bi-annual performance review cycles in Rippling, including setup, tracking completion, and communicating with managers
• Assist with onboarding coordination and employee communications

Requirements:

Pay for this position is $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience. Additional hours may be available depending on seasonality and business needs.

Photon Brothers offers a 401k with match for this part-time role, as well free telehealth services.

This role will be posted until October 21, 2026 at a minimum, or until the role is filled.
