Job summary

Icy Strait Point - Hoonah Alaska is seeking an on-site Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR functions in a seasonal environment. You will assist with recruitment, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, payroll support, and employee engagement while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and timely administrative support.

The role includes housing to facilitate relocation and offers medical benefits, 401(k) matching, and a housing provision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in HR, business or hospitality preferred.
• College-level coursework in English, HR, Business Administration, Hospitality is preferred.
• Two years of related experience in human resources, employee services, hospitality, administration, or a related field preferred.
• SHRM-CP credential preferred; ability to obtain certification within 12 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and interviews, track candidate status in HRIS, communicate with applicants.
• Assist Directors with offers, travel arrangements, and bonus tracking.
• Support onboarding logistics: materials, housing, travel communications, orientation, and new hire documentation.
• Manage employee uniform program: issue, collect, inventory, order, end-of-season review.
• Plan and facilitate employee engagement, recognition, and morale events during season.
• Maintain employee files, update HRIS, prepare reports, ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Support payroll by maintaining data, processing documentation, auditing records, and assisting with inquiries.
• Perform clerical tasks: photocopying, mailing, scanning, emailing, and electronic filing.
