Job summary

Strada is a leading provider of people, payroll, and technology solutions, operating in 180+ countries. We are seeking a dedicated HR & Payroll Specialist to manage Austrian payroll end-to-end, handle payroll-related inquiries in German, and support client-specific reporting.

The role requires 2–3 years of payroll experience, strong English and German skills, and proficiency with MS Office. The position offers a hybrid setup with opportunities to grow within a multinational organization.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years relevant payroll experience in HR consulting, outsourcing or corporate environment.
• Very good English and German skills (B2 minimum).
• Strong knowledge of inputs/outputs such as interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits and other payroll integrations.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Independently process Austrian payroll end to end according to defined standards and client requirements.
• Monitor and manage ticket queues to meet timelines and thresholds.
• Identify deviations from standard service scope and support change requests.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Produce and understand standard and client-specific payroll reports including year-end reporting needs.

HR & Payroll Specialist with German

HR & Payroll Specialist performs all life-cycle payroll transactions and activities to ensure the processing of an accurate and timely payroll. Displays decision-making skills that support company and payroll policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently process Austrian payroll from end to end according the defined standards and client requirements including all associated payroll tasks
• Monitor and manage ticket queues using the appropriate tools to ensure tickets are handled per the defined timelines and do not exceed expected thresholds
• Identify deviations from the standard scope of service and act accordingly including the identification and support of change request opportunities
• Recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information
• Produce and understand standard and client specific payroll reports including statutory year end reporting needs
• Review and validate data for accuracy and completeness and initiates corrections per the defined standards
• Answer German payroll related questions and requests
• Provide clear knowledge transfers to peers
• Support and manage system maintenance testing
• Support technical issue coordination and resolution
• Maintains current knowledge of legislation requirements; system updates, changes and overall payroll procedures
• Participates in projects and activities as needed and assigned

Requirements

• Around 2-3 years relevant experience administering Payroll in an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing or Corporate environment
• Very good English and German skills (B2 minimum)
• Strong knowledge of the various inputs and outputs such as third party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits and other key areas that integrate with payroll
• Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks
• Flexibility to support a global and fast paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Self-motivated and a willingness to learn
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures
