Applitrack is seeking an H.R. Specialist to support Castle Rock School District in hiring, onboarding, and personnel records management. The role covers benefits, leave, and employment procedures, with close collaboration with payroll and district administrators.

The position requires strong communication, confidentiality, and experience with Skyward/RDS software; a high school diploma is required with college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Experience with Skyward/RDS software in public school setting (2+ years preferred).
• Strong computer skills and 10-key proficiency.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage confidential information ethically.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with staff and the public.
• Ability to follow district and state requirements and policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and job postings; onboarding and new-hire processing.
• Salary placement, contracts and assignments; leave administration.
• HR reporting, background checks, fingerprinting, and certifications tracking.
• Maintain personnel records and HR data in Skyward/Qmlativ systems.
• Assist with FMLA/PFML coordination and retirement coordination.
• Payroll backup: review inputs, process payroll changes, and year-end tasks.
