Job summary

La Cava Jacobson, P.A. seeks an HR/Payroll Specialist to join the Tampa office, reporting to the HR/Payroll Manager. The role requires multi-tasking across payroll and HR processes and acting as a liaison for day-to-day activities.

The ideal candidate will handle payroll processing, timekeeping audits, on-boarding and separations, and HRIS maintenance, collaborating with the CFO on reports and budgets. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree with 2 years of related technical experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two - three years of experience in HR/Payroll functions for organizations with 100+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the accurate processing and recording of the Firm's payroll, provide timely and accurate information, participate in daily data entry for payroll processing.
• Check and audit timekeeping records, maintain time and attendance records, entering new hires into the payroll system, posting changes in pay and tax status and misc changes.
• Manage workflow to ensure payroll related transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Process garnishments, child support orders or tax levies.
• Process employment verifications.
• Process year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c).
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
• Audit and reconcile invoices from Employee Benefits' Insurance carriers.
• Confidential material handling.
