Job summary

Hotaling & Co. seeks an experienced HR and Payroll Manager to own payroll processing and office administration. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will oversee compensation, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and workplace culture in a hybrid San Francisco setting.

You will partner with finance and management to ensure accurate payroll, tax compliance, and HR initiatives that support talent, engagement, and organizational growth across our U.S. operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is desired.
• Minimum 4 years of HR experience in the industry.
• Experience with ADP or similar HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Human Resources to support HR strategy, employee experience, and office operations.
• Own the accurate and timely processing of bi‑weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with wage, hour, and payroll tax requirements.
• Administer payroll and HRIS systems, including ADP, and maintain employee records.
• Coordinate payroll tax filings and remittances in partnership with the Controller.
• Support employee lifecycle activities including recruiting, onboarding, changes, leaves, and offboarding.
