Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking an HR Coordinator to serve as the main contact for employees at the plant location and assist the Corporate HR team with payroll, benefits, recruitment, wellness, teammate relations, safety and other duties.

The role involves processing payroll for hourly staff, handling onboarding, managing benefits enrollment, supporting wellness initiatives, resolving employee relations issues, and ensuring accurate HR records. A related degree and HR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prefer an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, or related field.
• Two to three years’ experience in the Human Resources field is required.
• Knowledge of basic Human Resource functions and laws.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing for hourly teammates and drivers.
• Recruitment, onboarding, and orientation to ensure staffing.
• Benefits enrollment administration and open enrollment support.
• Wellness program administration and screenings.
• Teammate relations support and conflict resolution.
• Effective communication with plant management and Corporate HR.
• Assists safety with incident investigations and safety records.
• General HR administration: data entry, appraisals, terminations, postings.
• Other duties as assigned.
