Ecker Center for Behavioral Health in Elgin, IL is seeking a Payroll and HR Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll, benefits administration, and 403(b) contributions, ensuring accurate records and compliance.

You will enter payroll data, handle leaves, enrollments, and deductions, coordinate with vendors, and provide payroll education to supervisors while protecting confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years human resources work experience required.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel, internet and HRIS software, Paylocity experience a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll entry and corrections in HRIS.
• Maintain payroll records and process garnishments.
• Support leaves, insurance enrollments, and 403(b) contributions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for payroll and benefits data.
• Prepare audit and compliance reporting.
• Respond to inquiries and educate supervisors on payroll processes.
