About the Opportunity
Snelling is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in Louisville, KY, to identify an experienced HR, Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join its team.
This is a hands-on HR role with significant responsibility for bi-weekly payroll, employee benefits, HRIS administration, and day-to-day HR operations. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.

What You'll Do
Payroll Administration
- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Review timekeeping, payroll changes, deductions, premiums, PTO, and other payroll-related information for accuracy.
- Enter and maintain employee pay rates, deductions, status changes, and other payroll data in ADP.
- Review payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies prior to payroll submission.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, PTO, and other payroll matters.
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, year-end activities, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure payroll practices align with company policies and applicable requirements.
Benefits Administration
- Administer day-to-day employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, 401(k), and COBRA.
- Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, status changes, and terminations.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees with benefit questions and issues.
- Reconcile benefit invoices and work with carriers and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
- Support annual open enrollment, including employee communications, documentation, and system updates.
- Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure employee eligibility information is up to date.
Human Resources Operations
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including new-hire paperwork, employee records, and system updates.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee information within ADP/HRIS.
- Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and new-hire processing.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR processes, policies, benefits, and general workplace questions.
- Support employment verifications, HR reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with leave administration and other employee-related processes as needed.
- Partner with management and HR leadership on employee programs, process improvements, and special HR projects.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee, payroll, benefits, and other sensitive information.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in payroll, benefits administration, HR administration, or a combination of these areas.
- Experience processing bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Experience working with ADP or a comparable payroll/HRIS platform.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, and general HR practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR operations in a manufacturing or other hourly workforce environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, if applicable.
- Familiarity with employment regulations and HR compliance requirements.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification.
