Job summary

Ghirardelli in California is seeking an experienced HR professional to administer labor relations policies, support grievances and union negotiations, and partner with HR leadership to deploy labor/union solutions and attendance policy management.

The role provides coaching to Plant/Operations leadership, attends meetings to understand employee perspectives, ensures compliance with CBAs and regulatory requirements, and assists with onboarding, offboarding, and talent retention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 years in exempt-level HR role.
• Minimum 2 years applying/administering a CBA.
• Preferred HR experience in manufacturing or production; CPG industry experience a plus.
• Bilingual fluency a plus, Spanish preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent client management and business literacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Administer labor relations policies and CBAs.
• Support escalated employee relations concerns, including grievances and union negotiations.
• Partner with HR leadership to deploy labor/union relations solutions and attendance policy management (ADP).
• Provide guidance to Plant/Operations leadership to resolve employee concerns in compliance with company policies and values.
• Attend plant meetings to stay connected with employee perspectives.
• Ensure HR practices comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
• Investigate worker compensation claims and manage documentation; collaborate with EH&S and HR on case management.
• Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Help leaders attract and retain talent to achieve business objectives.
• Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
